I really enjoyed this Jody, thank you! I loved your description of that pull between deep winter stillness vs new year freshness; I really felt that this/last year.
What a wonderful array of creativity, music, and deepening connections among the work demands as well.
I seem to have synchronously stumbled upon your Substack via something I saw on FB (which I'm meant to be not using rn) and am struck by some commonalities - housesitting, Bethan (I did her Unbound Voice retreat in Wales in October, and am forever changed), affinity with Ecuador and particularly Tena, plus...the TCP course ;) I graduated in 2024 but had very mixed feelings.
If you write more about that down the line, you'll have an eager reader in me!
Anyhow, thanks for the inspiration, I feel I want to gather my year up in writing too and am thankful to have stumbled into your work while procrastinating on work work.
Hey Jody! The penny has dropped after some social media photos that we were on the Solstice pilgrimage together! What a magical day. Hopefully our paths will cross again so we can natter about the above :) Thanks for your drumming, and wishing you a good road!

Hey Sarah,
Thanks so much for your lovely and thoughtful comment, and for following my work :)
Wow, so many connections there, so interesting! Would love to hear more about your adventures, especially in Ecuador and with the TCP.
Great to connect!

Ah no way! How funny. Such a magical day eh? Hope you had a good one!
Another great piece of writing. Lots of positives to be gained from your 2024 and even more lined up for 45 squared (sorry!)
Love the artwork and Pearl Jam reference!
Big love xxx
